Film Is Also Hallmark Channel’s Highest Rated Movie Of The Year-To-Date Among HH RTG
Nearly 3 million unduplicated viewers fell under the spell of Hallmark Channel’s original movie, “The Good Witch’s Charm”, summoning a 1.9 HH rating for the network during its Saturday, October 27th premiere. The centerpiece in Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Halloween” campaign, “The Good Witch’s Charm” is the network’s 2nd highest rated original movie of the year-to-date among women 25-54 as well as the highest rated movie of the year-to-date among households. The film also ranked as the highest rated ad-supported cable movie of the week in household ratings and the 4th highest rated prime time ad-supported telecast of the day among women 25-54.
The fifth installment from Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated and longest-running original movie series, “The Good Witch’s Charm”, ranked in the top 10 for household and key demo ratings in the Saturday 9-11p time period, which includes #2 in HH (1.9 rtg), #2 in P2+ (.9 rtg), and #4 in W25-54 (1.0 rtg). The original movie premiere elevated Hallmark Channel to the #4 rated cable network for the entire day among W25-54 rating and the #3 cable network in prime time for the day among households (1.7 HH rtg).
In “The Good Witch’s Charm”, good witch Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) has her hands full juggling her new job as mayor while trying to spend quality time with her family. As Cassie plans a long overdue vacation with her new family, things go awry when a crime wave suddenly sweeps through town and an investigative reporter (Geordie Johnson) turns up to do a story on Cassie. To make matters worse, Cassie’s estranged foster mother (Janet-Laine Green) appears in town and Cassie’s stepdaughter (Hannah Endicott-Douglas) gets accused of the recent robberies. Supported by her loyal family and friends, Cassie must rely on her signature charm to put a stop to the rumors before they completely destroy the town and a Good Witch’s reputation!
