Last week there was a movie about human trafficking on TV and that reminded me that I have not watched "Sex Traffic" in a long time. Actually I think I have only watched it once right after its release in 2004 or 2005.
So this week I watched it again. Yes, it is disturbing but it got me glued to the TV for three hours. The writing, acting and directing is outstanding and the movie really deserves all the nominations and prizes it got at several occasions. Chris` portrait of Tom Harlsburgh is brilliant. Sometimes you wish you were able to reach through the screen and shake him. And when he says "Get your purse and we go out for lunch" to his wife (amazingly played by Wendy Crewson), you just want to slap him right in the face.
Kudos to Chris and everyone else who was involved in this upsetting but important movie.
