Thanks to Greg Williams for sending out the following Press Release:

"It is with great pleasure that we announce the marriage of AMBER MARSHALL, star of CBC's hit television show, HEARTLAND, which also airs on UP TV in the United States.

On July 27th, 2013, under clear blue skies in the Big Sky Country region of Alberta, Amber Marshall, age 25, wed Shawn Turner, age 26, her boyfriend of three and a half years. The two became engaged in the Spring of 2012. Following very cute lil' cowboy ring-bearer and cowgirl flower girl on miniature ponies up the aisle, Amber rode in on horseback, sidesaddle on her horse and led by her father, David, in a stunning white full-length wedding gown. True to her love of animals, Amber's dog Remi, who also happens to appear on Heartland, accompanied one of her bridesmaids.

Amber's groom arrived by helicopter at Ms. Marshall's A-Ark Ranch. Looking dashing in cowboy formal wear including black 10-gallon hat, Shawn met Amber under a beautiful, custom-built outdoor altar constructed from local timber by the groom himself and some friends, and inscribed with their names. The happy couple exchanged vows in front of a joyous crowd of friends and family, all of whom were dressed in their best Western garb. Among their guests were Heartland co-stars Shaun Johnston (Grampa Jack Bartlett), Chris Potter (Tim Fleming), Michelle Morgan (Lou Fleming) and Alisha Newton (Georgie). Executive Producer Heather Conkie and Director of Photography Craig Wrobleski were also in attendance.
There has been a wonderful synergy between Amber Marshall's real life and the dramatic life of her character on Heartland, horse whisperer Amy Fleming. Amy also became engaged this past year, to longtime beau Ty Borden (played by Graham Wardle) midway through Season 6. There has been tremendous interest in both Amber's and Amy's impending nuptials from fans of the show worldwide, as Heartland is now seen in more than 115 countries.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, bride and groom rode away on their horses, Hawk and Cash. Afterwards there was a sumptuous dinner, prepared by the on-set caterer for Heartland, Cal-B-Ques, adjacent to the barn on Amber's ranch. This was followed by a high-steppin', good times dance to fashion-suitable Country & Western music, all while cradled in the foothills of the magnificent Rocky Mountains. In a tremendous gesture, and in the true spirit of giving, Amber and Shawn decided to do away with wedding gifts, and asked their guests instead to make an equivalent donation to the flood relief efforts in southern Alberta. As Amber and Shawn are residents of Alberta, and the hardest hit town in this summer's devastating floods, High River, serves as the 'Home of Heartland', they know all too well the vast scope of this recovery effort.

Ms. Marshall's wedding to Mr. Turner took place during a pause in Amber's shooting schedule for the seventh season of Heartland, which is filmed in High River and the Foothills region of southern Alberta. There is great interest in the storylines of the show, as the Season 6 finale left a collapsed Grampa Jack, lying in the snow in the arms of his son-in-law, Tim Fleming. Shooting of Season 7 continues this week. There are several days of wedding celebration underway, much of it being filmed by a crew from CBC LIVE, to be broadcast in the coming weeks. The crew also conducted interviews with the joyful newlyweds, their families, and Amber's castmates on Heartland.

Amber Marshall has starred as Amy Fleming on Heartland since 2007. In Canada, Heartland airs on CBC on Sunday nights at 7pm, in reruns on CBC weekdays at 1pm, and in syndication on Bold, VisionTV and APTN. Season 5 is airing on UP TV in the United States on Wednesdays at 9pm ET. A multi-talented person, Ms. Marshall also produces the Amber Marshall Apparel line (under the slogan "Wear What Amber Wears"), the Amber Marshall Calendar, and a quarterly magazine, Amber Marshall Life & Style. All of these excellent products are available online at www.ambermarshall. com. Ms. Marshall is also on Twitter, @Amber_Marshall, and on Facebook, www.facebook.com/AmberMarshallEntertainment. Amber appears at several major animal-related events each year, including the Calgary Stampede and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. Ms. Marshall is also a well-informed and well-spoken proponent of humane animal treatment and the human-animal bond.

In an effort to raise money and awareness for Alberta flood relief, Amber Marshall Enterprises started a sales promotion during the Calgary Stampede called the DollarDonor program. A portion of all proceeds of sales of Amber Marshall products is being donated to flood relief. As a renewed sign of her commitment to helping southern Albertans get back on their feet, and to maintain the profile of the recovery efforts, Amber is pleased to announce her 'Amber Marshall Wedding Week Sales Promotion', in which the flood relief donation amounts from sales will be effectively doubled. Members of AmberNation, as her friends and fans are known, who participate in this promotion will also receive a free, autographed photo from Amber's wedding when they purchase an eligible Amber Marshall product."
