"It is easy to see where some of Amy and Lou's characteristics come from, not the least of which being determination, drive and creativity. Tim has all of those, and whether it is seizing an opportunity which he thinks will make a lot of money quickly or to just invite himself to dinner at the ranch, you can be sure Tim will do it with flair. Making up for time lost with his daughters has him not wanting to repeat his past mistakes with Shane, and so Tim does what he can to step up to the plate, even if it sometimes means Jack has to suffer his annoyances."
