One of the most frequently asked questions in this fandom is, why Chris is not on Twitter, Facebook etc. to interact with his fans. So I decided to re-post part of the message, Chris sent me earlier this year:

"I must explain that while I may not actively participate on line, I do occasionally read your comments on the Heartland web site.
I have always felt that the true value of social media, as it relates to a TV show site like the Heartland website, should never be about self promotion. It should be about you, used by you, the loyal fans and friends to connect. To get to know each other through your shared interest in the series.
Heartland may end someday [Season 25?} but some of you will have made lifelong connections. I find the thought of that rewarding as a performer/director.
To this day I have people approach me to say that 20yrs ago they watched one of my shows with their Mom or Dad and that those were fond memories.
Well, those memories are being created today with the show we all love. Heartland. That is a very satisfying result of the hard work that goes into making it by the cast and crew.
Thank you all so much."

"Background performers (extras) today all consist of guests at the Dude Ranch. Makes sense, doesn't it?"

"This is the last day filming outdoors and just as well. I speak for everyone when I tweet that so far summer has been a bit of a dud."

"I just read the scripts for 709 and 710 and have been sworn to secrecy, but I will quote some Heartlanders and just say OMG! OMG! OMG!"

"On August 7 we are inside all day, filming 7 scenes, all from the 7th episode of the 7th season. (Notice a theme here?) #iloveheartland"

"Did you know you can get a light bulb lit using a potato? No? Well you will once you've seen this episode. :) #behindthescenes"

"I just received an OMG from set - It needs confirming, but someone is returning to Heartland we thought we'd never see again!"

"Now here's a special effect you don't get too often on a family horse ranch show - "volcano erupts". Seriously!"

"Filming in the house set today and tomorrow, then on Monday in the studio, but in one CRAZY new set, built just for this episode."

"Everyone has had a chance to read 709 and 710, which Dean Bennett starts directing on Tuesday. 709 contains a bombshell! Shhhhh..."

"In a recent interview with Larry King, actor Bill Paxton has confirmed he will be directing a theatrical martial arts western reboot of the classic television series for Legendary East, the Asian branch of film production company, Legendary. The news comes just two years after Deadline announced plans for Paxton to direct the film in October of 2011.

Kung Fu originally ran as an ABC television series preceded by the feature-length film. The series ran from 1972 through 1975, and was revived eighteen years later in the form of a spin-off titled Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. All three installations starred actor David Carradine as Kwai Chang Kaine, a shaolin monk whose story is told in the first series as he ventured from his home in the temple through the old West in search of his brother. The Legend Continues brought back Carradine reprising his role oppositeactor Chris Potter who played his detective son during the show's four year run..."
