"The Good Witch`s Charm" is Hallmark`s 2nd highest rated Original Movie of the Year

Film Is Also Hallmark Channel’s Highest Rated Movie Of The Year-To-Date Among HH RTG

Nearly 3 million unduplicated viewers fell under the spell of Hallmark Channel’s original movie, “The Good Witch’s Charm”, summoning a 1.9 HH rating for the network during its Saturday, October 27th premiere. The centerpiece in Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Halloween” campaign, “The Good Witch’s Charm” is the network’s 2nd highest rated original movie of the year-to-date among women 25-54 as well as the highest rated movie of the year-to-date among households. The film also ranked as the highest rated ad-supported cable movie of the week in household ratings and the 4th highest rated prime time ad-supported telecast of the day among women 25-54.

The fifth installment from Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated and longest-running original movie series, “The Good Witch’s Charm”, ranked in the top 10 for household and key demo ratings in the Saturday 9-11p time period, which includes #2 in HH (1.9 rtg), #2 in P2+ (.9 rtg), and #4 in W25-54 (1.0 rtg). The original movie premiere elevated Hallmark Channel to the #4 rated cable network for the entire day among W25-54 rating and the #3 cable network in prime time for the day among households (1.7 HH rtg).

In “The Good Witch’s Charm”, good witch Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) has her hands full juggling her new job as mayor while trying to spend quality time with her family. As Cassie plans a long overdue vacation with her new family, things go awry when a crime wave suddenly sweeps through town and an investigative reporter (Geordie Johnson) turns up to do a story on Cassie. To make matters worse, Cassie’s estranged foster mother (Janet-Laine Green) appears in town and Cassie’s stepdaughter (Hannah Endicott-Douglas) gets accused of the recent robberies. Supported by her loyal family and friends, Cassie must rely on her signature charm to put a stop to the rumors before they completely destroy the town and a Good Witch’s reputation! Stars Catherine Bell (“Army Wives”), Chris Potter (“Heartland”), Catherine Disher (“The Border”), Hannah Endicott-Douglas (“Casino Jack”), Geordie Johnson (“Durham County”), and Janet-Laine Green (“Haven”).

Guess I am not the only one who was happy to see Geordie Johnson and Janet-Laine Green in the latest Good Witch movie. To everyone who is not familiar with these names (or faces), they both made appearances on "Kung Fu - The Legend Continues". Janet played Peter Caine`s foster mom Annie Blaisdell and Geordie played George Vladpallin in two episodes.

Thanks to Chris Potter Fan Brian for sharing his memories and pictures of meeting Chris back in the KFTLC days in Toronto. It`s highly appreciated and I am sure reading this will put a smile to many faces, not only yours :) Thanks again :)

"My parents had gone to eat at their favourite restaurant as Chris Potter and his crew, were filming an episode of Kung-Fu: The Legend Continues, which was my favourite show growing up. My parents drove all the way home (quite far) to pick me and my sister up and drove us back downtown just to get these photos with Chris, who obviously was my favourite character on the show. I was so happy as is quite evident from these photos. Looking back on these photos brings a huge smile to my face even now. It's a very powerful thing to affect someones life in such a positive way. It may have seemed like a small gesture on Chris's part but meeting him that day and having him pose for these shots with me and my sister meant the world to me at the time. I have since followed Chris throughout his resume and he remains one of my favourite Canadian Actors/Directors to this day. I will forever be a fan. Thank you Mr. Potter!!!"

"Today there is activity on 2 fronts. Filming is taking place in the kitchen, and DVD 'extras' interviews are also being shot."

"Yesterday there was a small gathering and giant cake cutting on set, celebrating the 100th episode of Heartland, which is now being filmed."
