Some months ago a fan asked me if the CD Chris recorded in 1997 is still available. I sent an E-Mail to MAG Records and asked them. In return they offered me a box with 30 CDs because they no more sell single CDs. I thought about it for a while and decided to buy the box because I know a couple of fans who are also looking for "Tourmaline".

So after the box was stucked in customs and I had to run after the postman today, I finally have it ;)

Some CDs are already reserved, but there are still a few left.

So if you are interested, send me an E-Mail at lost_sheep_2@yahoo.de. One CD including shipping and handling is € 8 within Germany and € 10 (14 $) internationally. You can send the money within Europe via bank transfer or Paypal and overseas only via Paypal.

The CD includes the short version of the Kung Fu Blues by Chris and David Carradine and all CDs are sealed.

20th Anniversary "Kung Fu - The Legend Continues" (1993 -2013)

This year marks the 20th anniversary of "Kung Fu - The Legend Continues". 

I think it would be great to share some of your memories connected to KFTLC. So if you have photos and stories of meeting some of the actors, visiting the set or attending one of the Fu Fests, I would be very happy to share them. And if you- like me- never had the chance to get this close to our heroes, maybe you want to share how you first discovered the show no matter where you are from.

Ok, so I guess it is my turn to start ;) I think it was in 1994 when the show first aired on German TV at 10 pm on a channel called PRO 7. Thanks to my grandparents my brother and I had the privilige of having our own TV set. Still remember the fights when we both wanted to watch something. We carried the TV from one room to the other each week but that did not help at all. My mom told us she would throw it out of the window or down the stairs a lot during these days. Luckily she never really did that.
But back to watching KFTLC. I am pretty sure I came across it by accident while zapping through the channels. And I am pretty sure the first episode I saw was "The Laquered Box". Still one of my faves to this day. Now comes the part which you canot really explain, the part why I kept watching. Of course it was Chris who fascinated me from the first moment on and then there was this father-son relationship, the Kung Fu philosophy and David Carradine who in my eyes always had something very special about him. So I watched a new episode each week until the show ended.
Then in 2004 when the show re-aired here in Germany, I started to meet other fans from all around the world thanks to an invention called the internet. The rest is history! ;)

Heartland is back this sunday, January 6th 2013 with a brand-new episode. Sadly no pic or mention of Tim on the Blog but we know from the preview that he will make an appearance. And from this Production Tweet from August 2012:

"It was all the way back in 2009 that Twitch first came across Canadian director Spencer Estabrooks. He was pushing horror western short Dead Walkers at the time and that tale of the zombified west was so much fun that we've kept an eye on him ever since. And now he's back with a new short titled The Hunt.

INSURRECTION FILMS INC. presents THE HUNT, directed by SPENCER ESTABROOKS.
The short film stars CHRIS POTTER and ROHAN CAMPBELL and features creature design by BLEEDING ART INDUSTRIES. "We set out to make a film that used zero digital effects" says director SPENCER ESTABROOKS "We are fans of old school horror and we don't want our monster looking like something out of a video game". "Bleeding Art Industries, based in Calgary Alberta, excelled at this task and the creatures look phenomenal. We look forward to taking this short film out on the road."

The short film was made possible through support from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and ACTRA Alberta. "This project is a showcase for the Alberta Motion Picture Industry, we can make films that people want to see and we just need the opportunity."

The film will screen at international film festivals in 2013. Producer GREG JEFFS has feature designs for the project. "The feature is a direct continuation of the short film; it was created as a proof of concept and the feature script is really strong."

"Kung Fu - The Legend Continues" Memories

On New Year`s Day I asked you to share your memories of KFTLC. Thanks Elli for writing down this:

"It was '94 or '95, the summer. They broadcasted Fu in the prime-time, on the national TV. It was a mass hit; one of those series everyone would go home to watch and then we'd talk about them. Every kid on the neighborhood wanted to be Caine.  
Then we started renting from the local video store all kung-fu and Shaolin related films; then he remaining of the martial arts films.. Training kung-fu was my dearest childhood dream. I was way too young to appreciate the qualities of the show but re-discovered it in June this year. I finally saw that Chris and David make one of the best tandems ever seen on TV; the father-son relationship; the flawless acting of the lead actors... Now I'm training kung-fu, writing my fanfic and hoping to see more of Chris. "

And thanks again Elli for reminding me that I wanted to make a video with this episode for years :)
